12, 2001 ~ I suffered a heartbreak yesterday and today b/c I was
told that in order for people to not become

too impatient downloading my page, I would have to reduce the size of
my JPEG files! This is the

first
time I had to sacrifice quality for speed and I just felt as if I had
murdered my own baby...

Sep
24, 2001 ~ Haven't updated my site for a while, but that's because
I've been feeling quite weary from
|
||||||||||
|
life,
both physically and emotionally. This is especially true after the unbelievable
bombing
|
||||||||||
|
of NYC's World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
It was even more outrageous
than a Hollywood film!
|
||||||||||
|
My
initial astonishment was subsequently replaced by sympathy and sorrow
as I watched the members
|
||||||||||
|
of
the deceased/"missing." Even though I fortunately don't know anyone
who was deprived of his/her beloved ones
|
||||||||||
|
from this tragedy, I could just imagine what emotional traumas these
people were going through.
How I wish I could
|
||||||||||
|
do
something for them! PS: The people at
the NYC impressed me tremendously; they showed that there are
|
||||||||||
|
people
in the world who genuinely care about each time in the time of
need!

1, 2001 ~ Back from honeymoon & ready to plunge into my web-my
laptop to my honeymoon. Unfortunately,

didn't have the right power converter for Italy! However, I did manage
to construct one page in Phuket...HEHEHE!

26, 2001 ~ Major computer breakdown and my Macromedia
Dreamweaver has absolutely gone berserk!
|
||||||||||
|
(Maybe
that's its way of complaining that I've overworked it?) Fortunately, I
still have my laptop to depend on!
|
||||||||||
|
I've also decided to eliminate one counter from my self-introduction page since the three counter
|
||||||||||
|
numbers never
seem to correspond!
|

7, 2001 ~ I am so happy that I got the Chinese version of Adobe
Photoshop V. 6.0! Definitely one of the
|
||||||||||
|
best
software purchases I've made in a long time. The interface is much better
than the previous version (in fact,
|
||||||||||
|
the
command lines bear more resemblance to v. 4.0 than v.5.0 which I am
more familiar with anyway). I would
|
||||||||||
|
strongly recommend it to anyone who is either looking for a superb graphic-editing
program or who is already
|
||||||||||
|
familiar
with photoshop.

6, 2001 ~ I spent so much time creating the Arale(Dr.Slump) icon--almost
2 hours using JASC's Animation Shop. I
|
||||||||||
|
wanted
to get the rotation and the frames working at the right speed--in case
you are curious, the GIF is made of 4
|
||||||||||
|
different
angles of Arale JPEG files (rotated using Photoshop). I am still not
100% happy with the "finished"
|
||||||||||
|
product,
but I guess it will do for now.
|
||||||||||

22, 2001 ~ I know this is going to sound crazy: I stayed up until
4:35 AM this morning to finish my introductory GIFs
|
||||||||||
|
page!
So you must check it out! Most of the time were spent on creating the
animated GIFs and transforming these
|
||||||||||
|
images.
|
